hey, i've had this idea on mind for a long time never really think it would be useful... now that the "would you hit it..." thread was closed...

when topics like this are created, and mods know they are fun, important, sticky or anything more than just another normal topic... couldn't mods decide on it and choose the rules for that topic and make them appear on TOP of each page or something like that... cause dumbasses don't read all the pages to read the rules and just skip to the last one and start posting... this would be useful to stop the mistakes new users and dumb users keep making...

in short... put the rules for that specific thread/topic on top of the board or anyplace you find decent so that it is visible during every page... and nobody ruins the thread...

good idea? or even posible?

We might be able to find a vB plug-in to do such a thing, but people are still going to ignore it.

The Picture Thread clearly states in the Title, which you have to look at to access the thread, and is listed at the the top of every page, that if you aren't posting pictures, you don't post. NO PIC, NO POST! Yet people constantly ignore it.

The real problem isn't really on our end. Now if there was a plug-in to make our users not be lazy and pay attention, then certainly we would install it right away and not have anymore problems. As it stands though, that plug-in is not yet available.

That could also be a problem when someone changes the number of posts per page...
For instance, forum default is 30 per page... Well, I hate having to look through a bunch of pages, so I set mine to the maximum of 90.

... then there was that stuff that ThatGuy said as well.
