I swapped in a ka24de into my 89 coupe, and i want to make sure i dont waste money on getting the wrong oil. It has about 120k for the motor i was thinking of Royal Purple Synthetic 10w40. For the tranny Redline MT-90 or Mobile 1 75w-90. Also how much oil does the motor and tranny need?
Also last question would NGK Irridum and some NGK wires would be fine for the motor correct?
Thanks for your time

NGK plugs only, but copper plugs are fine.
Transmission holds 2.5qts.

IMO, i would not recommend redline for tranny because my short(er) gear tranny starting to grind for no reason after letting motor and tranny sit for like 3 months, changed it twice (in 1 month) afterwards and still suck. Ima try and change to RP synchromesh.
Also, be carefull with mobil 1 75w-90 (viscosity somewhere around there) GEAR OIL. Had some guy that used to work at shop change my clutch on my first car, a honda accord, and the tranny seized up bc he used GEAR OIL (i think it was suppose to be for differntials?? correct me if i am wrong please) but my tranny just got F***ED up. Lost third gear and all other gears sucked afterwards.
^^^someone correct me on the gear oil though because it was supper thick compared to honda tranny oil.
I use:
Mobile 1 syn 10w-30
Redline MT-90 GL-4 ( tranny )
Mobile 1 syn 75w-90 ( diff )
fluid capacities from FSM:
engine oil 4qt with new oil filter
engine oil 3 3/4 without new oil filter
tranny is 2.4qt.. a lot of people use 2.5qt
diff is 1.3 liter for r200 and 1.5 for r200v
problem with using Mobile 1 75w-90 in the tranny is.. it calls for GL-4.. and that stuff is GL-5 supposedly it can ruin the syncros...
NKG spark plugs work well ( I use Iridium IX's ) along with NKG wire set..

Just to make sure you use redline mt-90 gl-4 for your tranny and mobile 1 syn 75w-90 for your diff?
