Carlsbad by the beach is pretty kick ass. Good food, decent surf, etc... Inland is like whatever just a bunch of Industrial buildings and houses.

I'll also add, I would head up there in my subie to check it out because some of those cars are godly but, that's waaaaaaaay to early on a Saturday morning.
