:bite:Fellow zilvians...
I have a problem, i was changing my front tension rod bushings. When i was almost done "torqueing" down the 2 bolts into spec (around 100-118lbs), one of the bolts/nuts stripped (wont loosing or tighten), AND i also noticed the new bushings where not setting right. So...any ideas in how im i going to resolve this problem...it is getting me really pissed off
any advice would be appreciated, or should i just go to a mechanic??
P.S. is the car safe to drive?? if all bolts but 1 is not down to specs.
thanks

Car is alright to drive. Cut the bolt/nut off and replace it.

I torqued mine to 60lbs because I used antiseize.

There are 2 ends of the tension rod. One horizontal bolt that is more towards the front of the car and two bolts that attach it to the control arm.
