Holler,
I've searched but haven't found exactly what I need so here goes:
I'm looking to upgrade from stock SR tranny on my drift car to Z32 tranny for obvious reasons. Now, I know quite a few people who run the mazworx kit. Has anybody out there tried this kit ?

Any opinions on Xcessive and/or this kit ?

At one point I had a KA24DE manifold and Top Mount Mani from them, but EXCELLENT quality parts.

Does this space the input shaft out of the crank?

Austin Hoke of the hybridz pages makes one to adapt the z32 tranny to a L series engine so it might not be much to convince him to consider what you need.

The input shaft will only go into the flywheel's hole from the look of it - that spacer is there tho to move the flywheel out (i assume the spacer will replace the crank to hold the pilot???)

Install the flywheel spacer and flywheel with the new 12mm bolts. Some crankshafts have an additional pilot sleeve that will interfere with the new spacer. These are typical on crankshafts that came from automatic transmissions. You will need to remove or grind this sleeve to accommodate the flywheel spacer. Use the 6 supplied 12mm washers with the new flywheel bolts. Be sure to check that the bolts do not bottom out, if they bottom out you will need to grind the bolts to allow proper seating. Use thread locker on the flywheel bolts and torque to factory specs. Hold the clutch disc on the flywheel using a clutch pilot tool and check the springs in the hub for clearance to the new flywheel bolts by rotating the clutch 360 degrees while holding it tight to the flywheel. If contact exists, clearance the bolt heads as needed.
The flywheel spacer comes with a new pilot bushing installed. The clutch can now be reinstalled. Follow factory or clutch manufacturer specs for clutch installation.
I hope that that spacer taps into the crank and not centers on the flywheel bolts. Then there is a ring on the crank to center the flywheel. Whole think looks like a clutch or flywheel launch scenario. But I won't pass judgment till I see the install of this kit.

That is, precisely, why I made this thread. I don't wanna lose my ankles.

yeah, I know a guy with some flexplate in his leg. Those 12mm "washers" scare the hell out of me.

I agree - but if its got a weiner than goes into the crank it might be ok.

i dont like the spacing the flywheel out idea.
Id stick with my mazworx over that one.

Has anybody used this kit? I have been searching for the past two hours (and it's not the first time i have looked either) trying to gather information on this kit/other z32 transmission swaps and haven't found much of anything, except for "What do you guy's think of this?". Thanks!

That site doesn't know the difference between your and you're.
Reason enough not to buy.

I ended up not buying it, simply because I don't know how well that flywheel spacer will last with aggressive clutch and prolonged street abuse.

Look for a Mazworx setup. I just purchased one including Z32 tranny from a Zilvia member who was parting his car out. Look out for used ones on here, or save up for brand new from Mazworx. Those guys are knowledgeable and have experience.

I bought the mazworx kit and it works great! I too was concerned with the flywheel spacer so I went with this kit instead. Everything bolted up fine...some stuff required a little fab/extra love, but it all works smooth. z32 trans on a sr is the way it was meant to be! lol
