Blown SR20DET!!

Well I think it's blown...

Sounds like someone is inside beating on it with a ball peen hammer!

Mixed blessing...there are several red tops and a couple of black tops available.

Will I need a new computer and harness if I go to the black top? I already have an aftermarket cpu from MINES. Is that worthless (for me) now?

hey man.. your in japan... i guess if i was you.. i would head up to the yard and look for a 180sx sr.. everything is the same.... just get the engine... you can probly get it for chump change.... but what do i know.. im just pulling most of this junk out of my ass

Man, it must be nice to be able to go down to a local junkyard and pick up an SR....I finnaly got my SR, but they ripped me off. I didn't get the wiring harness, mafs, ignitor and a few other things:( Well, good luck with it....got any pics or yoru car? hehe :D

Yea your engine is diffenatly blown, that sound is the rod you through hitting the block. Believe me I know from experince with my KA.

I wouldn't start it or anything because if your block isn't cracked it still can be repaired, but if your block is cracked you will have to get a whole new engine. So if it isn't cracked right now don't try to start it and risk cracking it.

a sil-80 is just that. a silvia front with a 180sx rear.

and most of them look ugly, imo.
