I hope there isn't a thread where someone has the same problem; I looked but if there was anyone that was smoking, it was easy to tell where its come from and how to fix it.

So here is my problem: I've had my car running for bout a month and a half now; its a 93 with an s13 sr20 in it and ever since the first start up, its "smoked like a freight train" the car still pulls good and i have good compression, checked intake..nothing, plugs arent burning... Also; the t25 that came with the motor, turned out to be junk, oil seal in it was bad and there was oil all in the turbo, so i bought another USED t25 and its doing the same thing! Think I could have bad luck with turbos or could it be the lines to it?
Any help is appreciated!

If it's blu smoke, yeah you most likely have another bad T25.

its oil smoke, and im hoping its just the bad t25...again.
i guess the only way to find out is to buy another turbo...gt2871r anyone? :D

Next time you take it apart see what's oily. If it's just the turbo and the rest of the exhaust it's the turbo. If your manifold and exhaust ports in the head are oily you have a bunk engine.

also, this does this just at idle between 800-1.1k rpm...can smoke out a parking lot pretty quickly. the smoke is definately oil-related. thing is, the turbo spools fine and the car still pulls pretty hard (despite the fact it being stock sr)

hey man you sound like me. i have been dealing with the same thing for four months and i still cant figure it out. i was running my car for a month then i blew my first t25. so i bought another one. one month later i blew that one. i thought i was having bad luck with turbos. so i decided to spend 1,200 dollars on a gt2871r thinking man this has to work. 4 days later that one blew. find your problem first and then get the turbo and let me know.

we are puzzled out here, i hope its just the turbo cuz this would be the second used t25. rebuild kit coming in and ill put one of em back on and see what the deal is then. any more ideas on what it could possibly be?
