Cool! A lighted "240sx" rear panel!

I know that cut-outs have been installed into the 3rd brakelight in the s13 coupes that say "240SX"... but I don't know what model you're talking about or what lights...
There is a website that has a lot of free/cheap mods for the 240sx, but I can't remember it right now. Check google for it... it's 3am, and I couldn't even begin to tell ya what to search for. I don't even know why I'm posting, really. I'm going to bed.

i know the "whole" rear panel isnt lit but its kinda the idea. as for lighting the whole panel i myself havent looked at the panel to know what you would need. i might try to do what the link shows and i would like to see what hte whole rear would look like lit. anyways i hope this helps you.

i was thinking about doing that on my hatch... i'm thinking a 20" stick of white neon should suffice. but i probably won't do it- i'm saving all my car-related energies for sanding and priming.

The middle rear panel on the hatch ( the panel that reads 240SX) is actually painted on the backside. I think it was painted silver or some other reflective color. You would have to polish that paint off before any lights inside would show.

Couldn't you take like a junk taillight assembly and cut the bulb mounts out and um....cut the back of the rear panel and affix the bulb holders to them????:rolleyes: Or maybe just get the rear lens apart from the rest of the assembly and fiberglass the back with the bulb mounts...:rolleyes:

For the 240 coupe/convertible - I saw something similar on a RSX were there was a cutout of the letters RSX and that went over the 3rd brake light. Can we do something like this / anyone seen it done / anyone do it?

I think your definition of rice is a little broad here. Rice is trying to make your car look like a speed demon when it runs 17's. How does a lighted center panel do that? A lighted center panel is nothing more than customization to make your car more like what you want it to be.
