Looks like there's gonna be an S2K challenge going on that day too. They're always tailgating me on the track. :(

I'm 90% sure I'm going. Just got to change brake pads among a few other things. This will be my first time on buttonwillow!

I was really hoping to make it but it looks like I'll have to wait for the next one. Post your times afterwards!

Anyone else running Sunday? I switched over because Saturday looked a bit too packed.

I'm still signed up for Saturday. Works better for me.

I didn't get to take many pictures but there are a bunch at 2009/01/24 Buttonwillow #13CW SV - trackHQ.com - The Central Archives of Track Day Photos, Videos, and more........ (http://www.trackhq.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1862)

The day was okay. Overnight, a huge fog layer covered the entire city. Could barely see 50 ft in front of you. So the run sessions were delayed for about 1.5 hours. Fortunately, the fog cleared up around 11AM and after that, it was actually great weather for a track day. The sun was out, the sky was blue, the air was chilly.

On the other hand, because of the fog and rain from the past few days, the track was slippery and the dirt around it was muddy. So many people went off track and brought back in mud, it was horrible. Then, so many people went off track and got stuck so sessions had to be interrupted. I know in multiple sessions, people were only able to get 2-3 laps before the black flags, then had to wait 10 minutes for a car to be towed, then got another 2-3 laps and the session was over. That sucked.

This was my first time at Buttonwillow and my best time was 2:33.x. Stock KA, Federal 595s all around. Compared to Streets of Willow, I think it's much more difficult to learn the lines at Buttonwillow. I think I got a grasp of which turns I need to improve on. Now I just need to go back for some more seat time.

NismoB13, I don't think I saw a B13 there, were you there?
