I hate these threads people just make up your mind its all personal preference. Just buy an original kouki if possible. But if you like messing with cars and painting buy the zenki and convert it

Agreed, I know its hard somtimes to choose between a car but let your inner heart decide what makes you feel the car is right..
relying on others to pic the car for you will possibly end up being the car you never wanted..
Good luck

Ick both those cars are way overpriced! Though I guess if SD = San Diego maybe those are reasonable california prices. I would say here those cars are worth 4 and 5.5 respectively (if they are in pretty decent shape).

also depending on your plans for the car it may be worth it to just buy the zenki and convert to a kouki front for the sake of having obd1

Finding a clean 240 in california is not hard it takes patience and you willing to search, when you rush in and buy something overpriced you always find something for way cheaper a week later.

2200 (the diff in price) is about the cost of a good coat of paint, which is what you would need to convert a zenki to a kouki. This isnt counting the parts you need, although socal has a plethora of said. And although you will need to paint the kouki anyway, getting a car that doesnt need major body panel replacement is a big plus, unless you enjoy not having the car you wanted to buy for another year or so (prob the min amount of time it will take to gather the parts you want and have the work you want to do get done to convert zenki -> kouki)
