Just watched it.
It was fucking GREAT.
Best movie I have seen in awhile.
If that gay movie with the dog got a thread this movie should too. Sadly more people will probably see that.

This movie was very authentic and/or meaningful. It aligns well with my personal brand as a caring & culturally aware individual. A+

I very rarely find myself emotionally involved in a movie. If there was any way to keep the story going and fresh and make it two hours longer, I still would have watched it and enjoyed it just as much.
It was just that good.

The main character in the movie was also on SKINS a TV Programme on BBC.
It was a really good show I dug it.
I might have to check this out now. It looks very meaningful/ I would probably "get it".
Thanks Matej

Yeah, I enjoyed the whole flashback story telling. I usually don't, but the context of them being the reason winning helps to develop his character.
I started having flashbacks to Pineapple Express. I dunno why...

Two very different types of movies.
I will say that if I had to give an award for the "best" movie of 08 this would trump Batman. Simply for the fact that this movie didn't rely on tons of special effects and badass-ness, it was just very well written, acted, and directed.
I'm bumping this because I just saw it and it was GREAT!!! If you haven't seen it, do it! The lead actress is beautiful too.

definitely one of my all time favs. fully deserves the golden globes it won imo.
it's slightly more melodramatic than I would like, but it was moving.
technically and artistically it's almost flawless.
the cinematography, & editing were damn near perfect.
Use of colors were amazing without being gimmicky.
Narration was very cool (each question had a life story attached to it).
was definitely the most enjoyable film of the year for me by far.
On another note, it's really impressive how Danny Boyle has progressed as a film-maker.
Like it or not, a lot of his work has been distinct and stylish; Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, and Sunshine.
Of course, he is also responsible for some embarrassing films best not mentioned for now.

Batman was great no doubt, but Slumdog was on a totally different level you don't see often in cinema.

Danny Boyle can do no wrong! This film was awesome.
If you guys havent seen them, check out a few of his previous films. 28 Days Later (zombie film) and Trainspotting (grim look at early 90s drug culture in Britain) are both very good.

Yes! Another fellow SKINS viewer. Excellent show even if it is one of the dirtiest on TV.

This was a great movie, no doubt about it, best movie of 08'. I have to disagree though, the wrestler sucked, I had to force myself to finish it.

The Wrestler was a good film, but emotionally draining. I left feeling depressed!
