i just installed a j30 vlsd on my s14. HUGE difference. i dont know how to controll the car. im a grip guy not a drifter. i had lots of control with an open diff through corners. now the car reacts so different. i plan to go road racing and just wondering if this is the right way to go. do i just need to learn and get use to it?

depends...stock w KA..no way in hell...with SR on stock boost..has a chance...it'd be sorta close, but ITR has the advantage, being a bit lighter and all. if u've ever seen teh japanese video w the JDM ITR (200 or 210 hp forgot) vs the S14 silvia (220hp)...the silvia ate it off the line for the first two gears, and 3rd gear the itr pulled it, netting the itr a 14.7 and the s14 a 14.9. so that should give u an idea. track...it's all driver...drag is a lot of driver too...lsd yes makes a huge diff, esp coming outta the turn the car won't wanna spin teh inner wheel anymore...much more grip
