i tested the tps on the 20ohms mark and it didnt read 5 closed and .7 WOT
mabye its being tested wrong , we used the top pin and the middle pin , and the bottom pin and the middle pin , nthn matches to the fsm
heres whats going on
my car doesnt run like its supose to ,
with tps hooked up ,
idle is crazy , surging up and down from 1300 to 800 ,
when driving and coming to a stop it will shoot down and nearly die out and shoot back up
we timed the car and forgot to hook the tps back up and i drove the car
it drove perfect , idle at 800 , no problems , drove fast , coming to a stop it went to like 700 or 600 and came back up , nothing crazy though ,good throttle response
when i noticed the tps unhooked still , i hooked it back up and started the car , it wouldnt even hold idle because it was too low , so i had to raise it again
also
we were working on it earlier and was timing the car , , previously it was timed at 15 degrees but still felt off , when we looked at the cas and put the timing light on it , it was way off , like half an inch away from the dash , it looked super advanced but drove fine
if i put it to where 15 was then it drove like shit , slugish , backfiring the works , so i put it back to where it was when it was first timed
i doubt it skiped a tooth or anything like that
so im thinkin mabye i stabed it wrong , and timing it with a bad idle , or not being in timing mode has something to do with that
its not maf , its not injectors
it has a ssqv bov not recirculated
do you think the tps is just bad , we tried to read my friends but his read the same as mine , but he thinks his was broke too , so not much help there
