Title says it all. Florida people, post here! We gotta get a meetup going on! If it's after May, you can stay at my place!
BTW: In about a month (Mid-March), myself and a few other people are heading to DeSoto speedway for drag racing.
PM or post here if you wanna go / have meetup in Summer. I don't know exactly how many people are in FL, but I figured I'd post anyway.

Yeah, you guys don't know me, but I'm all about seeing some nice 240's. I, myself, will be bringing my 2001 Nissan Frontier. No, it won't be covered in mud, or dragging two empty kegs behind it. Maybe two full ones... I'd honestly love to show off my stuff, and see what kind of awesome things you guys have done with already awesome cars. If the drag strip is happening in mid March, I'll make that, but I would also love to have some place to go in mid june, also.

Well.. my tranny is bieng shipped this week, and the pistons should be comming this week. That means that in 1.5 weeks, my engine should be getting dropped into my prepped 240sx.
After that, I need 1k miles to break it in.
So.. I'm still thinking that mid-end of March I should be tuned and ready to go.
Also.. if CA18Guy would get back in here, we can make a more definative meet date.
Like I said.. I have a couple couches and a spare bedroom that we can crash at.. and if we need more room, I can talk to some hotels around to get prices. Just keep this thread alive and in the back of your mind as we get closer to June.

Who is free on Friday nights to go Stripping at DeSoto?
Me and a group of friends are going once:
I get my motor broken in
Friend 1 gets his motor broken in
Friend 2 gets his tranny rebuilt and 4.11 gears under it.
It's looking like I'll be last on the list.
Anyway.. it should be a month from now (I probably said that a month ago), and it has to be Friday cuz thats the "Open Race" night. So.. who is free on Friday nights that wants to Strip with us?

Ok, here it is. My engine is back at my house, and I figure in 2 weeks it'll be installed, the FMIC piping will be made, and the bitch will run. That'll be the beginning of May. By June, it'll have the standard 1000 miles of break-in, and I can run at the strip in June, as well as have the meet.
I'll also be in the middle of moving, as I get the keys to my new apartment June 5th. By the 15th, I'll fully be in my new house, and hopefully sooner.
Also, my car will look like ass, with a spray-painted front bumper and a flat-black primered hood.
Anyway, I need to know when people want to have the meet. Post good dates, and we'll try to work around the majorities free time. The moving doesn't really require much from me.. I'll try to have the move complete in the beginning of June.
We need to have a game-plan of what to do. I'll be in a gated apartment complex with little parking. So, I can only house like 1 or 2 people, and someone's getting a floor. I can probably have a day there with everybody if that's what you want.
I figured 2 days, 1 night. Hang out, BS, check out cars, go for rides the first day. Party at night, and then the next day get to the strip.
I need to know how many people are comming, and where you plan on staying (if from out of town.) I'll call hotels and try to get a group/club discount.
So.. lets hear everything you want to do, and some dates!

Dyno and then the drag strip sounds awesome....if you don't mind the fact that I don't own a 240SX :p Auto-X would be to hard to set-up unless we envaded someone elses auto-x day. My question is where would we be eating :o I get hungry easily! Only thing I don't like is the drive to desoto from Tampa, but that would be cool if we had a caravan of Nissans going down there.

FWIW, I have a 35 car parking lot 1 mile from downtown West Palm Beach that everyone can use on any weekend (a weekend) if I know two weeks in advance. It is fenced, secure, and like I say, one mile from Downtown West Palm Beach. Lots to see and do...Let me know if you folks would like to do that. Morosso is fairly nearby as well.

I have exclusive use of this payed lot..as it is where I work and the gate code. Easy to find, 2 miles east of I-95 and the Palm Beach lakes exit. IF that would help...let me know!

After reading the thread...I'm not real sure what the hell is going on, but I'm always down for a meet. I will be attending the one here in my neck of the woods (Melbourne) on July 19th...not to mention the car show my club is putting on in August ('nother thread about it in this forum).

I guess I'll just keep checkg in to see what the plans are for this eet.....and just a heads up. I have seen most 240sx guys like ORGANIZATION..make sure you have all the bells and whistles in regards to said meet you plan. I played a big park in both the first FA meet we had in Orlando a few years back and the HUGE all Nissan Tampa meet....organiztion is key guys.
