I need information on how to acquire surplus military tires. I am currently working on an offroad build and really want to run the 11.00r16 Michelin XL tires for it. They are about a 38-39 inch equivalent with big lugs for plenty of siping. If you have information or help, please post up or PM me. Thanks in advance.

Good luck, they are hard to find with the wars going on. Michelin is diverting all it's supplies to overseas.

Look for a Industrial/Farm Tire shop around you.

Check Pirate4x4.Com - The largest off roading website in the world. (http://www.pirate4x4.com). There are a lot of guys that sell them there - they should range $100 to $500 a set of 4.

Beware that those tires don't flex for shit (meant for far heavier vehicles), so the grip isn't great.

those are the tires I'm going to sipe and run on road. They are tall and yet narrow, easy to cover to pass inspection legally. I'll probably run Iroks off road... and I'm on Pirate.

those are the smaller ones like for Willy's jeeps and what not... seems like they can be found everywhere, but I'm having a really hard time finding the ones I'm looking for. I think the Canadian military and NATO forces use the size tire I'm looking for more commonly that the US forces.
