My name is Patrick. I'm doing a SR20 Redtop swap into a '72 Datsun 510. I've tried to get help on the usually 510 forum I get on, but nobody really wants to help me out. I got my engine from www.nagasakijdmmotors.com (http://www.nagasakijdmmotors.com) and they sent a brand new wiring harness with it. I've figured out where all the plugs go as far as the throttle body, CAS, injectors, etc. But you all may know that the wiring harness splits off and one side goes to the injectors and all that, and one side goes to the ignitor, MAF, etc. Well the etc. part on that is what I can't figure out. I've got some pictures of the plugs I don't know about. If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated, just tell me if I need to do away with the plugs or what. I'm not going to be using power steering, or air conditioning either.

This picture just shows where the wiring harness splits off. Number 1 side is the injectors, etc, the number 2 side is where I'm needing help.

Here's the ignitor and two vacuum things. Can I just do away with the vacuum parts?

I think one of these is the MAF

This one comes off above numbers 3, 4, & 5

Two I have no idea about

Another I have no idea about

And here's the three on the end

Just a shot of the pins in #11

And a closer shot of 10 & 12

1. Looks to be your wastegate actuator solenoid.
2. Boost sensor pretty sure
3. Looks to be CAS
4. Maybe the MAF plug
10 or 12 plugs into your injector harness I think.
11. Looks to be your harness to your coilpacks.

Hard to tell from the pictures as a whole, but I think that is about right. Most of those spade style connectors you have there usually won't be reused.

1 and 2 you do not need.

3 is maf

4 is power steering

5 is a/c

6 cant remember think consult

7 and 8 are consult check wires i.e rpm signal

9 consult also

10 11 12 are your battery tray wires. Check any srswap guide for the pinouts.

Number 6 is ABS skid sensor, there is no CONSULT plug on the engine harness.

are you sure that 4 is power steering and that 5 is a/c? I thought those were a part of the chassis harness.

There's a pressure switch on the power steering line, the plug is found on the engine harness to idle up the car at full lock. The A/C compressor wire is also in the engine harness since the ECU triggers it.

if your not hooking the consult up then you can remove 7/8 correct? and I can remove the wastegate valve control solenoid since I have the wastegate T'd into the fpr hose right? I'm redoing my harness and don't wanna start another thread so i'm jacking this one

7/8 are NOT for CONSULT, they're just check connectors. You can cut the plug off and tape it back.
