This was not a performance re-build, but the beginning of a factory condition restoration.

I am the proud second owner of this car. I have the carfax history from when I purchased it with 119,440 miles on it in 2004. This car is equipped with the 2.4L KA24DE engine, 5-speed manual transmission. Manufactured in June 1994, it has an OBD-1 emissions system. After-market bolt-on modifications include an AEM short ram intake kit, Megan Racing Header, Magnaflow exhaust, Brembo brake rotors (non-drilled or slotted), a Pioneer DEH-2300 head unit, and Pioneer speakers all around.

The clutch was replaced at 150,000 miles with an OE replacement kit, and the oil has been changed every 3,000 miles. At around 160,000 the driver’s side window motor failed and was replaced, along with the window tinting (35% on the doors, and really dark on the others, this tint is in compliance with Texas state laws and regulations).

The car currently has an out of date inspection sticker on it due to a check engine light being on. The check engine code is for a catalytic converter, so that is all that it needs in order to pass the inspection.

The interior is in great condition other than a few stains on the driver’s side, a crack in the radio bezel (very common), and a “weathered” shift boot. The dashboard has no cracks whatsoever, and the upholstery is in excellent condition (no tears/rips/holes/burns). This car has never been smoked in!

The body & paint work was going to be my last area to work on. It does needs some front end body work from a “social encounter” with a Ford Taurus’ rear end (on the front-passenger side) and some clear-coat on the spoiler. There are also a few scratches/dents - as would be typical for a car of this age. The total cost to repair all of this at a local reputable body shop is $2,000.

All work done to this car was done via professional mechanics, and I possess all records of said work since the cars purchase.

Also, this car has a four month-old set of silver, 5-zigen FNO1R-C 17X7.5 wheels with no blemishes or curb-rash whatsoever wrapped with 215/45 R-17 BFG G-Force Sport tires with 95% tread life left. Also included are the four original stock steel wheels (with OEM hubcaps), one with a tire in fair condition I kept for a full size spare (BFG G-force Sport 205/55 R-15). The space-saver spare is also included with the car – practically brand new.

I’ll throw in the old injectors (rebuild for spares or sell), new gasket kits, miscellaneous hardware, new-in-wrap oil pump/lower timing cover, two new battery cables, battery terminal adapters, extra front and rear main seals, and some exhaust gaskets.
