I love reading about cars (especially 240's and silvias) and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good books or videos on these great Nissan cars. Thanks

thats cuz you sit there flipping the pages and keep seeing the same thing, cuz you keep forgetting that you read the other way.
Also the fact that you wish you could read what it says but get your hopes up when you see numbers or engine codes.

First off, what is FSM? I figure it's an abbreviation for a magazine.
And by "Japanese Magazines" do you mean stuff like Sport Compact Car, Import Tuner, Super Street, etc?
Thanks

Well the FSM is Factory Service Manual if I am not mistaken, not really good reading material, but lots of important information for fixing your car.
When he says Japanese Magazines I think he means stuff like Option magazines (finally saw some, they are pretty big). SCC and all those other magazines are kind of a good read.

Go pick up a HyperRev (Volume 19) Silvia S13/S14 book.... Makes for some good reading (or should I say "looking at"?) material. $27 freakin' dollars in L.A.'s Little Tokyo.
And the best Japanese magazine is Import Tuner, followed by HCI (you should pick them up and read them religiously) :D ;).

Yeah, those japanese magazines are good. My personal favorites are Young Version and Car Boy.
As for a magazine devoted totally to 180sx or silvia, the Hyper Rev Tuning and Dress-Up Guides are the best (all in japanese however). There are several issues devoted to ranging from the S13 Silvia, 180SX up to the S15. The newest ones still include info on the older ones too.
Anyways, they have info on shop tuned silvias or 180's, what they have in them, and their theory behind tuning. Then it also has just basic information on the cars, troubles, maintenence stuff, pricing, etc.
Then, (the best part) is a long list of over 1000 items with pictures and pricing of exhausts, internal components, cooling, turbines, gaugues, you name it. Body kits, rims, even tires!
If you can read japanese:D this magazine is great for parts and knowledge of the car!
