ok so my car accelerates fine but ocasionally out of nowhere my clutch will start to slip through all the gears. Im not sure if its when it gets overheated or what. i stepped on it like 2 times around the 350 miles mark or so(i know thats not good) but does it seem like im going to have to replace the clutch. im about 430 miles on breaking in. What are your suggestions? fyi this is a spec stage 2 clutch

My clutch sucks too. I hear from most people that spec is good... at least it's not a shitty F1 Racing like mine. yes I learned my lesson.
You sure your pedal isn't in need of adjustment?
id rather an f1 clutch than a spec. when i had a spec clutch i broke it in and it started to slip when it got warmed up. now i have a RPS street puck and its awesome

I have an F1 Stage 2. No balls. Pressure plate has less clamping force than a baby's hand. I hate it. Can't even break them loose in a straight line.

well i ordered it from enjuku they suggested it, they said they used spec on all there drift cars and most there customers cars and nvr had a problem. and they gave me a good deal so i said i want not. I dont know i think its just if it gets to hot or occasionally.

Did you machine the flywheel? Does your rear main seal leak at all and is your clutch pedal adjusted properly?

does it slip over 2700rpm? your clutch pedal might not be adjusted right. had that happened to me before.

Did you make sure to install the clutch facing the correct way? It might be backwards. Just throwing out ideas.

Spec has been hit or miss in the last 4 yrs. They were great at first when they started making clutches for S-chassis. I had a Spec on my KA. Shit went out and took out my tranny with it...

the old one was probably glazed and u needed to rough it up so the clutch can grab take it down and us some low grit sand paper other than that check ur slave cylinder

i guess i'm one of the lucky ones. i've got a spec stage 3, never had a problem!!
to the OP: sounds like you need your clutch pedal adjusted. check that along with everything else others above have said.

check the pedal throw rod adjustment on the back of the clutch pedal. Maybe its engaging the clutch slightly ?
