hey guys i've been putting together an s14 with a ka-t dropped the motor in today and realized that the turbo is way too close to the brake master cylinder. im running a gt3076r on an ebay top mount manifold. anyone have ideas on how to allow the turbo to sit furthar away from the brake master cylinder? it looks like i need about an inch of clearance to be able to bolt the downpipe on. and even after i will definatly need to make a heat sheild to protect the BMC. thoughts that have ran through my head: custom manifold> looking at upwards of $1000 not in my budget, chop the turbo downpipe flange shorter and reweld a v-band> about $100 but im scared it will somehow fuck up. grind down the BMC> but dont think that it will be enough clearance, smaller BMC?> anyone know what will fit?

please throw some ideas at me i really need help on this one. here are some pictures of what im dealing with.

Do you have a five speed swapped s14?

the auto brake booster is much thicker iirc, so you should swap to the five speed bmc.

that or you need a new manifold. only two options really, move the turbo or move the bmc. I suggest just getting a new manifold i doubt you paid a whole lot for the ebay one anyway.

jgs log kit lets you put it wherever you want.
