I don't recall this being done in the last few months.

I got my 1991 Fastback LE with 146,000 miles for $3100. Well, like $500 more in taxes and crap.

I got it on 2/12/2002. Almost a year now. I think I have 156,XXX miles on it.

Anyways, I know I got reamed. I got them down from $5000 on it. I fuggin hate dealers. They are scum. I really wish this car was a private sale. But I am still happy.
The one guy said "I'm trying to make a living here."
I don't care. I am trying to get me a car. I can do it from a private seller or you, put I am not paying mroe just because you want to make a living. He wanted me to pay "Advertising fees, a flate rate for all cars."
There was no advertisments. I called every lot within 100 miles to find that thing. I found it on the lot before the dealer did. I never even needed his assiatance. Why should I have to support him?
Ok, I'll stop ranting.

$2350 for an '89 coupe with a perfect body/interior with a Silvia front end, all Silvia badging, Eibach/Tokico suspension and a catback exhaust. 188k, but runs like a champ and passed smog quite well (may be a new/rebuilt engine).

Also got a set of the ultra rare square silvia lights in the deal (not on yet). The wheels were $130 at a junkyard for 5.

'92 fastback, perfect interior, perfect freshly painted exterior, 89k miles. Paid 5k almost 2 years ago.

First one was $1200 for 79k miles in an '89 automagic fastback. Excellent interior, mediocre exterior (hatch lid rust extroardinaire!). It kicked ass for a first car. Sold it to my sister a year later for $2000.

Second (and current) is a '92 SE 5spd bought almost two years ago with 107k miles, beautiful exterior, good enough interior (not quite as clean as my '89, last owner smoked methinks) for $4700 at the stealership including everything from taxes to the lameass dealership applied pinstripes. I've been meaning to take those off. . .

<edit> Dealer's asking price was ~$6200 before taxes and whatnot. Yeah, cars are more expensive here :-)

93 fastback with 80K miles...good shape for $4K back in August 2002. The dealer wanted $5K for it. It was tough finding a decent 240 in Dallas at that time. Most of the ones I looked at were autos, riced out, or in bad shape.

Well my first one, my dad and I went to look at a 1989 Coupe perfect condition, 114,000 miles, her son didnt want it to she wanted to get rid of it and I read it in the paper didnt know anything about then after I saw it I fell in love with them, she went to have her husband bring it down to where we were meeting and he pushed the clutch in and it went to the floor so he said it was bad well we priced new clutch and everything went back tot he ladies house and gave her the reciept and she said ok I'll sell it to you for $400.00 and my dad handed her the cash on the spot. We get home and he is like well I wonder if they ever put clutch fluid in and he was like well they didnt so he did and it worked fine never had to do anything to it. Here is the bad part driving home one day slid around a corner and messed it up pretty bad so now I am parting it out. A little later my dad is driving home and spots another one cause I told them I wanted another so we stop down and he hassels them down to $400 again and we say yea yea we'll take it off your hands, it had a blown motor and we had a motor from the wrecked one before. So I still have that one to this day.

When I was looking for S14's in April '01, there were only 2 '98s in Tulsa. Both were automatics, had 20k miles, and the dealers were asking $18k for them. You got a great deal! Cool cars are assload expensive in OK!

$3800 in April '02 for my 93 SE coupe, 5-sp ,all options. 124k but in nice (not perfect) shape all around.

or so I thought... since then I've sunk a collective $1500 into that pile of crap motor (including a new oem clutch though) and now looking at $800 to patch up a leaky oil pan. :(

Recently did GR-2s, strut mounts, poly rear suspension bushings and poly-bushing T/C rods for a total of $1100.

145k on it now.
