My ecu is not getting power anymore. Last night I was driving it and my lower radiator hose split. I fixed the hose today and was driving it home when it all of a sudden just started missing really bad, so I brought it back to the shop and I started looking at it. Checked out some things and everything looked good. Tried to start it and it won't start, ecu smells fried and my ecu fuse was blown. I replaced the fuse but it still won't get power to the ecu. Unless i'm testing the wrong pins on the ecu harness. So my ecu fried and something is shorted out of no where, i'm sure it had to happen from the coolant blowing everywhere. My ignition switch is goofy at times too, could this be the cause of it also?

I hate wiring with a passion and I have no idea where to start. As far as the ecu being friend maybe now i'll finally put my haltech in. But not if it's gonna fry it right away.

well if water/coolant got everywhere make sure u make sure there is none in the fusebox panel next to the battery tray. i would get some WD40 and spray it over all the fuses to get all the water out. then go over the fuses and check for blown ones. then just skim over the wiring and make sure their no loose connections mainly from your primary positive and ground wires.

ECU is definately fried, the pin is lifted and one of the capacitors that sit in the board a little bit is fried also. Just gotta trace down why it did this. The coolant thing is the only thing I can think of, but why wouldn't anything else short out?

It was an enthalpy ecu and the other board looks fine, anyone know if you send it back in to scott with another stock ecu if the cost is alot cheaper?

As far as tracing down this short I'm going to start by testing at the ecu harness for power because I don't think it is getting power to the ecu harness anymore. All other electrical still works fine so I have no idea. Funny the ecu fuse popped and the ecu still fried.
