For what purpose?

No, JB Weld is pretty much as strong as readily available epoxy gets. The regular JB Weld has a shear strength of 4000 psi, pretty high.

check with a fastenal in your area, i think the stuff is called Lab Metal, its a metal epoxy thats can be used to bond, drille and tap and is very close to the same strength as real steel.

There is no epoxy that will bond to the same strength as steel(tensile yield strength of ~40-80 ksi). You can sand, drill, and tap JB Weld as well; but I'd definitely never try to screw anything into it that had to hold any kind of load or rely on it really holding anything together.

Myth busters did an episode on that, it failed.

How about hard solder like silver solder. its not as strong as welding but is pretty darn strong and easy to work with. indoors, you probably only need map gas for heat.
