i know what you mean about being helpless on black ice... my 240 looked as bad as your red hatch after i had an accident 3 years ago due to ice. $4k and 3 months later somehow my insurance company repaired it though.

Sorry doode, but I posted this on Freshalloy as well and I'll I got was a bunch of 2 year old responses talking about my girlfriends ****.

I'm still disapointed that freshalloy has turned into a ****hole.. and I was hoping that zilvia.net wasn't going in the same direction.

Don't associate Me, Dousan, Estevan, ruf, BJones, or Mattback with the rest of Freshalloy just from what was posted last night. To think that there is no concern for your safety is ludicris and fairly ignorant. Of course everyone is happy that no one got hurt. Of course it sucks to see a 240 in that condition, etc... That is a given. Would you like 54 posts of us telling you we are all sorry.

I got TBoned by a Suburban going 60mph around a blind curve. She didn't "Technically" do anything wrong. I lost my car, which my parents had bought (first car), and i didn't use that money towards either of my 2 240's (zenki S14, sold, now RPS13). the first thing my friend said to me when he found out was: Damn dude, your car sucked anyway. I was ROFL. If you are so intent on getting attention about your accident and want nurturing by people, don't post a pic of a [hot boobies] reflection of your girlfriend. I mena that pic doesn't even show damage. What was the point of posting it? I think you may have wanted us to see her, I mean it seems like you are craving a certain attention with your desires from this post.

Oh, and if there was a chance of ice on the road, why go anywhere NEAR the speed limit. You aren't supposed to outdrive or exceed the safety limitations, no matter the posted limit.

I posted the pictures to let you guys know about what happened to my car. I remember when I originaly posted pics of it lowered that a lot of you guys liked it so I thought you would want to know. I wasn't asking for sympathy or anything like that, just sharing bad news and in my own way.. trying to recover from the pain.


I posted that picture because it showed my NWN sticker (the only sticker on my car), my gf just happened to be in the reflection and it just happend to catch her in a wierd angle.


Oh, and if there was a chance of ice on the road, why go anywhere NEAR the speed limit. You aren't supposed to outdrive or exceed the safety limitations, no matter the posted limit.

True of course, but in this situation the rest of the road was fine, it was only that stretch that was covered in black ice.. I know that sounds like an excuse but the cop backed me up on it on the police report.

s13s arent like ferraris. no reason to get riled up when crash them. they are easily replaced. so cheap, no reason to lose sleep over it. yeah you'll miss it, but you know damn well your next one will be even better then this one (just be sure to get one in black again)

hey! its not like you have to go to sleep alone being depressed or having a guy dig glass out of your hair. haha...you got a good gf and as long as you two can be together, car means nothing, life and love is more important.

Thank you! Yes if everything works out I'll be getting a shell and an SR. :D

The only problem is that there aren't very many s13's around here (BC, Canada) It's not like in the US where you guys can pick up a decent s13 with a blown engine for $500-1000 bucks US. The cheapest s13s over here go for $4000-5000 canadian ($2600 US. - $3300 US) and that's for 89/90's.. finding one with a blown engine is next to impossible for some reason.. and with the latest Initial D "I wanna be a drifter" faze the prices are higher now then ever before..

It took me 4 months to find this one and 6 months to find my first s13 (a red hb that was written off by a drunk driver who ran a red light)

And to make matters worse, I'm starting a new job March 1st in a different city 1hr away, and have given my notice to my old employer and landlord. So now I have to find a place to live in the next 3 weeks and find a new car.. =(

Oh and on top of that, my gf and I actualy mutualy split up 2 weeks ago after 2.5 years of being together... We are still really good friends, but we decided that it would be better to split up because I was going to be moving into the city for this new job and she is staying here going to school.

Sorry to ramble on about my personal problems, but I'm sure you can see why I'm a little PO'd right now..


Anyways, I'll keep you guys updated as to my next project. It's going to cost me an arm and a leg but it should be worth it.

I'd like to get another s13 coupe and do the SR swap, but if I don't go with an s13 my aftermarket parts will be for sale. I probably won't be able to buy the car back from ICBC for regular parts (the insurance company here sucks.. it's government controlled, not private)

Oh alright, You should take the muff out of the front seat and say it was lost in the woods and i would pay you like 50$s for it. HAHA but yea.. I would be very interested in your aftermarket Suspention parts, and your front bumper, if you can get it back, and dont get a new car, or need money, cuz everything you have is my goal for the next year :). Yea .

heh heh good thinking, but the muffler is destroyed.. the 3" mandrel bent tubing is bent at a 90 degree angle in some parts and the muffler itself now has a hole in it where the hangers are attached.

alkatraz--very sorry to hear about your car. At least your lady-friend wasn't in there with you--she may have been hurt worse. Thank God you were wearing your seat belt. And everybody's right--cars are replacable (not easily, though)--but you aren't. I hope the bumps and bruises go away soon.
