Eletrical Issue Help

Hey Guys,

Basically I sprung a coolant leak under the intake manifold, well I got that thing done, but during my fix for the coolant leak, it spewed a ton of coolant down below. :duh:

Basically now, I have low voltage when the car starts.... Is it possible that the altenator got wet and now its FUBARED? I checked the 3 grounds on the intake manifold and the coilpack grounds....

HELP PLEASE?!?

Yeah i did the same thing. My alternator was shot. Just replace it and it should be good

What do you mean low voltage when the car starts? Like it starts sluggishly or your battery voltage is below 11 or 12 volts?

Yah lights are dim even after the car starts... all the motorized stuff works slower ie headlights, windows, etc .... I can tell the amperage is really low..... The car doesn't feel sluggish I think, but all my electronics are dim...

and this is all after the car is running....
