I want to remove my climate control unit, the lights need replacing so I figure I remove the unit and install some LED's.
I looked all over the place for removing instructions, but none seem to cover the cable for the HOT/COLD Switch.
What is the best way to go abouts removing the cable with out damaging plastic? Theres an E-Clip, and a wire which is bent around the plastic lever.
Its hard to get to the wire, if im to agressive the unit will break.

Pull the clip and you'll be able to lift the cable back, up and out.. Make sure you remember which slot it was in when you put it back tho. And let me know if you find leds for that small of bulb, because i couldn't. GL

That's not called a "climate control" cable. It's called the air mix cable. When you turn the switch to hot, the switch opens both the cock on the heater core and the air mix door, allowing cold air to mix with coolant temp.
Look on the bottom of the heating unit. The cable is held on by a small clip. Be very very careful how you remove this clip because it is hard to put back correctly. Also make sure you don't break the clip at the top of the heating unit, which will mean you will have to remove the dash to fix it correctly.
