On the s14 it's call the Clutch interlock Relay (ASCD).
It's located in the passenger side fuse box.

On the s14 it's call the Clutch interlock Relay (ASCD).
It's located in the passenger side fuse box.
Incorrect.
There are several components being confused together:
1. When you turn the key to ST, power is supplied to the starter solenoid. Curent is then pulled to the relay via the thick starter wire. The solenoid is a form of "relay".
2. There is a switch located the bottom of the clutch pedal's travel. When you floor the clutch pedal, the switch is activated. This switch controls the cluth interlock relay. Without depressing the clutch all the way out, power will not be allowed to reach the starter solenoid whe you hit the key to ST.
3. There is a switch located at the top of the clutch pedal's travel for the Automatic Speed Control Device (ASCD). When you tap the clutch pedal, this switch cancels cruise control.
As per the original question, my recommendation is to find an FSM for your year S14 and go through the wiring diagrams and check every single wire for the starter system.

Incorrect.

Close. The starter relay is indeed called the clutch interlock relay on S14s, located in the main fusebox. Though it has nothing to with the ASCD, that's where it is. The starter signal goes to it, and once energized goes back out, the relay is energized by a ground trigger from the clutch switch. Same principle as the S13 setup but with a smaller relay mounted in the box instead of hanging on the fender apron.

I thought that's what I said. When you floor the clutch pedal, the clutch interlock relay is activated and allows current to go from the ST pin on the ignition switch to the starter solenoid.
S14s don't have the blue relay by the front right fender. Look in the FSM for the location.
