s14 sr turbo timer help...

hks turbo timer on a s14 sr. when i turn my key to the off position, the engine sounds like its about to die then starts to idle again normally. its only for like a split second. anything would help. thanks

it doesnt completely turn off. it sounds like it is about to turn off like a LOW idle then it starts idling normally again.

so when you turn the key to the off position the idle stumbles and the tt kicks in and the engine runs for the specified ammount of time? if so the stumble is normal. ive found that the speed at which i turn off the ignition causes the idle to stumble differently or even shut off completly without the TT catching the idle. its normal

Normal? Maybe normal for a TT thats going out. :trogdor:

I've NEVER seen this happen on any cars. His engine basically turns off THEN the TT kicks in and the engine starts back up. Perfect example is when you're a noob at driving stick and you ALMOST stall, then remember to put in the clutch really fast. Remember how your engine pretty much died but once you put that clutch it was alright. Thats what his engine does when he turns the key to the "off" position.
