Hey. I'm looking for a clutch to handle 350-400rwhp, that will live thru drag launches, and not suck to shift every day.
Any suggestions?
I'm kinda looking at this:
Ebay Clutch (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2401934287&category=6780)
but it doesn't have a torque rating... just an obnoxiously high hp rating. It also claims to be a light pedal.
So.. opinions and suggestions!

I'm using a SPEC Stage III and it's extremely streetable. Lighter pedal than I used to have (don't know what clutch was in there before... but it was either a stock clutch or a really worn ACT Street). Supposedly it holds somewhere in the neighborhood of 350ft/lbs of torque.

Puck vs. Disk? Sprung hub vs. unsprung? Spec III holds 347 ft/lbs torque. What happens above that? Slippage?

If you don't mind me semi-hijacking your thread, I'm also in the market for a new clutch... although not a drag clutch.
I plan to do mostly road racing events on this clutch, as well as some drifting, but no drag racing. This is not a daily driver, so heaviness/pedal feel isn't quite so important, but I figure this won't even come into play seeing as I have stock everything.
Specifically, I've been recommended the SPEC Stage II, but other than that I'm at a loss as to what a "good" clutch is and what a "bad" clutch is. What are most of you with stock HP (... no more than 200 crank) running, and how do you like it?
Also, how much should I expect to pay to have a clutch installed?

It says on the Enjuku site that the stage 3 holds 469 ft/lbs of torque. Is this wrong or what?

info here (http://w1.igateway.com/clients1/tc/store/webdata_IP.cgi?pagenum=2&cgifunction=Search&Category=nissan%20240sx&Department=clutch)
SPEC (Star Performance Engineered Clutches) Stage 3 Clutch Kit for Nissan 240SX 91-98. This is a great alternative to the similar ACT HD clutch. SPEC increases the clamping force of the pressure plate and uses a Carbon friction surface on the disc hold more power, yet maintain the same street manners as a full faced organic disc. This clutch kit is designed to hold up to 347 ft/lbs or torque! This is a complete kit including throw out bearing and clutch alignment tool.

I have the SPEC stage II and wish I would have gone with a stiffer pressure plate. I had a NISMO (I think?) sprung 3 puck and it was one hell of a heavy pedal but I loved the feel:)

Why do you say that?
Does your clutch slip? Or you just like having a heavier pedal feel?

I just liked the heavier pedal feel. I felt more responsive and predictable. The feel now is just Ho-Hum. Clutch in, select gear, clutch out....boring. I liked the chatter and the instant grab. (I never thought I would say that)

Probally like Chit .....And you will love it. It's almost Awe inspiring. That immediate grab and go. I can barely chirp 3rd now but before I could break it loose in 3rd. Clutches make a huge difference in performance and use of power
