Any reason not to? They're fairly simple and easy to come by.

discuss.

Does anyone make a motor plate for it?

Cause it's stupid to bench race about it if you can't mount the thing to the motor.

any guy with a few years fab experience under his belt could do it. I've ran many setups from SR's to 450whp KA-T's. im looking to do something a little off the beaten path. I've sourced up leftover chargers from saturn/civic kits going for roughly $1000. considering theres a small amount of parts involved with running one i think it can be done with very little trial/error.

Where are you going to mount it in the bay?
How would you mount it to the engine?
How would you drive it off the pulley?

Personal opinion:
For $1250 I can get a brand new GT BB Turbo matched for KA.
For the cost of fabbing a motor plate I can get a Turbo manifold and DP.
Turbo's are more efficient then a centrifugal supercharger.

Most of my friends that ran a centrifugal supercharger have gone to a turbo setup. It was easier to use the kits from Procharger, Paxton and Vortech. But now that turbo kits are coming out they are dumping like hot trash.

It almost seems backwards to got from a KA-T to a Centrifugal Supercharger. I understand the guys trying to mount Screw or Rotor Superchargers but, Centrifugal when many Turbo options exist doesn't make sense to me.

these things maybe someone like you could help me with, give some insight on where you think the best location for the charger would be.

i know they aren't as useful as a normal turbo setup but there's like 11ventybillion KA-T's, i want to do this simply because it hasn't been done and i love the way Centrifugal chargers sound. you cant say they wont provide a decent low/mid range so it wont be completely unethical.

Centrifugal do not provide decent low end power. They have a spin up time to get into their efficiency range. Also have to produce enough power to overcome the parasitic loss.

If you are hung up on something different, look into the M62 Eaton Supercharger installs people have been doing. If you want low end, a roots will do it. Roots also have a nice whine.

You probaly could, roots sits under the intake mani...
and as for placement of centf. you could mount it over by power steering resi and go electric power steering? pump? that got to make em? I am not sure never looked...

Sounds like fun...
How big is the unit your running, you wont run a
roots
centf supa charga
AND
a snail... lol
tri boost.
lmao. It will happen some one will do it... we are runnin out of engine swaps to do to this thing...lol

I have a roots sc'd single cam. its not hard. and yes, it sounds orgasmic and makes great low end. at 10psi itll break the tires loose at 2500 from a roll in second.
