I'm concerned about the front bolts with 17 mm heads. they go through a hanger and pipe flange and cat flange. I assume only the cat flange is threaded? I assume most replacement cats are not threaded?? thanks
the two downstream bolt/nuts seem to have 14mm heads and nut with pitch of 1.25. I had no problem getting these off.

the end of cat closest to engine. I assume there is no nut. just wondering what is threaded to hold bolt in place. I might just try to break the bolt if it is only threaded into cat which im replacing.

Both bolts thread into the cat.
They rust/seize all the time.
Just keep loosening it till it snaps/breaks.

They will break, guaranteed. Be prepared for it.

Soak the living shit out of the bolts with a 1-2 punch of CRC Freeze Off combined with PB Blaster. That's always worked well for me.
