Anyone with the charge speed hood? Help!

I have the Charge Speed dual vented hood on my s13 with silvia frontend swap.

I just recently bought a strut bar for the front, and thehood won't close with it bolted up to the strut bar mounts.

Is there a strut bar, that will for sure work with this hood?

What did you do? Did you bolt the hood up to the strut bar mounts?

^^^I'm pretty sure he means that the hood doesn't clear the strut tower bar.

After being on here for many years, I don't make any assumptions any more. We've seen some hairy stuff.

S14 but....Mine clears my Greddy STB, but struggled with my compressor housing (Peak Boost mani sits too high)

lol, yes I ment that the hood won't clear when the strut bar is bolted to the strut mounts, NOT when the hood is bolted to the strut mount,lol

I've considered cutting into the hood......... :(

How about running some JDM tight hood spacers to lift the hood up and give you some clearance.

PS: JDM tight hood spacers = washers/bolts and longer studs.

* bent frame
* bent bar
* bent hood/mounts

Damn, that turbo sits hella high.

You should put some heat reflecting tape on that hood.

Never thought about that. Guess I should get the car to a body shop and have them check it out.
