i did it to mine, a-ok!
I dont see how it would be much different for piston engines... i hear its an oldschool trick as well

^Yeah, its an old school trick that is a FANTASTIC way to hydrolock an engine.

ic ic ic.. guess it works mostly for rotary since it rotates and spits it out as opposed to a piston engine having to shoot it thru valves etc

i can see how it could work. water injection is pretty common and not much different. in fact, one time i drove the 240 around without a gas cap on (forgot it at the gas station) and no fuel door (in the middle of body work), it rained, and the car started running like shit... i figured water had made its way into the tank, so i just let it idle for like two hours while i took a nap. i came back to it and it was idling perfectly, and did feel like it was running better than before.
but running a gallon of water through your vac lines seems a bit excessive.
maybe cut a can of seafoam with equal part water, and slowly feed it in?

Why does it fucking matter if it costs $2 more or something.
Are you really THAT poor to care?

If you are that fucking poor, I will give you two dollars.
I mean shit.
You people shouldn't be modifying cars if that's the case.
Nobody said it would be cheap in the first place or mandatory to purchase seafoam.
well, to balance this out, I got 1 bottle of Sta-Bil and 1 bottle of STP "fuel treatment" for a quarter each last night.

the point could be that EVERYTHING is jumping up significantly. it doesn't matter if you're poor or not, shit adds up.
this is why californians get their homes repo'd

A lot of californians were foolish with their money buying things that they couldn't afford and setting themselves too far in debt.

I love seafoam. We used it in all the golf carts when I worked for the army as a mechanic. Instafix lol. But yeah water, in small amounts, does steam clean the engine. My shop teacher way back when dragged his dodge 440. He said he would get a spray bottle and slowly feed it into the throttle body to keep the valves clean. And if there is one person I trust with vehicles, its a guy who's worked for Chevy, Dodge and Ford, and raced MOPAR cars for the last 30 years.
I used a can every time I changed my sparkplugs, at 15,000 to 20,000 miles, or once a year, which ever came first. Half in the brake booster line, half in the tank.
That may sound like a waste of money on sparkplugs... But if you actually go 100,000 miles between changing them, if you ever do... Im sorry. Nowadays the suggested interval in some vehicles is as soon as 15,000 miles.
