Ok I searched around a bit but didn't find anything so If this has been answered before sorry. Please guide me to the original thread.

Anywho I'm helping a friend with his 240 with a redtop sr and it has a misfire in cylinder 1 most of the time.

Heres the whole deal

The motor was swapped by a local guy who has done several with no issues, I was there installing a diff and exhaust.

The motor started fine and idled perfectly for about an hour then it started misfiring and sounding like a bad ass subaru (not good unless you actually drive a subaru)

Compression is up to spec in ALL cylinders,

Pulling no 1 injector plug does NOTHING to the idle. No change at all
2,3,and 4 all make the engine almost die so they are working.

To be sure we swapped injectors. NO change.
We tried different injectors 12 of them to be exact (all from running SR's)

We then swapped fuel rails and FPR's NOTHING.

Then fuel rails, again nothing.

Then coil packs, nothing.

Ignitor chips, 4 different ones, nothing.

CAS, nothing.

ECU nothing.

There may be more but thats all I can remember as of now.

So far nothing has worked however every once in a while at total random the mis will jump from cyl 1 to cyl 2.

We will be running it and playing with the injectors and unplug cyl 1 and it'll run rougher and cyl 2 does nothing. WTF?

I'm convinced it's electrical demons but I have no idea where to start on this thing.
As you may have guessed by my username I'm an rotary guy so this is the first sr I've messed with.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Pull codes from the ECU and let us know what you get.
Use a voltmeter to see how much power is getting to the injector plug.

Looks like code 34 knock sensor.

did you check for continuity from ecm to the injector wire?

also is there constant power and pulsation from the other wire?

(both q's apply to injector harness)
