Strange sound at startup

This has been going on for a while now, doesn't really seem to affect anything, although i'm sure there is.
It's pretty random. Sometimes it will make the sound, other times it won't.
It also seems to help if i push the clutch in a few times before i start it..

i heard some timing chain rattle in there...tick tick tick tick

won't affect performance but it sounds kinda gross... search 'timing chain rattle' and find out how to take off the upper timing chain guides if you're desperate to make the noise go away

could be a loose heatshield somewhere on the exhaust? My SE-R Spec V actually has a similar problem. But it doesn't cause any other issues so I'm too lazy to figure out what it is... lol.

I had a rattle on my sr during start up. the sound was very intermittent. I was told it was my starter not fully disengaging sometimes. did not have any effect on performance.
