Ok guys, well i was never able to finish my compression test BECAUSE...

my car stopped turning over lol

i got the first 2 cylinders at 140, i put the tester in the 3rd one and i go to turn the key and "click"

so im like wtf?!

i thought it was a fuse... checked all fuses, everything OK.

switched the starter (had a spare one laying around, dunno if it works) and same result just a CLICK.

battery is full powered, i even had jumper cables and then a jump box. same result

switched the starter back to the regular one, same thing.

then i read it might be the starter relay, so i unplug it... and just direct connect the damn things with some wire. turn the key and it clicks ALOT, but still didn't CRANK. so i come to the conclusion its the relay.

changed the starter relay (next to the fender/battery), SAME THING!!!!!!!

what do i do guys? i really was getting back into 240s and i was excited and lots of hope for this project, but wtf lol

any ideas? i'm going to try switching the starter back to my other one with the new relay and see if anything happens.

thanks,
-Joe

Just a thought, did you check if the wire is ok? (the one to teh starter)? Like check for high resistance or continuity just in case? I don't know just brainstorming.

I had the same problem in my car. It turned out that I had a small black ground wire loose where the battery is. Its located underneath all the wiring of the fuse box.

I also did the starter bypass thing and it would click as well but not turn over. Check to see if that small black ground wire im talking about. PM me if you need help.

i ran a wire directly from the ignition wire off the starter and touched the battery with it, and it works... so what exactly would be faulty then?
