View Full Version : brembo blanks and Porterfield R4S
I have one pair of front S13 non-abs Brembo blank rotors, and a set of Front S13 non-abs Porterfield R4S brake pads up for grabs... Both are new, in their original box items that have only been opened for inspection (before I decided to get my 180sx calipers...) and have not been mounted.

$100 for the rotors
$60 for the pads
or-- $150 for both!
... not including shipping, and "OBO". :p Reasonable offers, please! I'm in Down Town LA (CA) and prefer local buyers who can pick up. :)
Brakes is life, everybody! come get your hands on some life-saving equipment! if you buy the set, I'll thrown in a nissan OEM Brake Hardware set too! pleaseeeeee please please please?
What's the difference between the rotors and stock rotors?

Design is the same... better metallurgy though. Brembo rotors are less likely to crack or burn than generic replacements. They also most likely have plating on the non-friction surfaces to prevent rust.
If these were ABS rotors/pads I'd be all over 'em...
Thanks for the explanation/help/description akadriver!
However, these rotors are unplated. Brembo don't (afaik) plate their rotors in-house, that, along with slotting and cross-drilling (at least for our cars) is ALWAYS done by someone else.
If you buy Brembo rotors that are x-drilled by brembo, they're not actual x-drilled rotors, they were cast with the holes already in them for (possibly) better structural integrity.
The better metallurgy of brembo (over OEM rotors) should (will) improve braking in most aspects. I would expect better fade resistance as well as better heat dissipation and possibly better "bite". Used in conjunction with the Porterfield R4S pad and good brake fluid, you have a braking system that's worthy of some of the most brake-intensive tracks in the nation! (seriously)
