Has anyone made an aftermarket Intake plenum for the S13 sr20det intake manifold that only replaces the plenum and uses the stock runners? I was thinkng about maybe trying to use a S14 sr20det plenum like this one: http://monstaperformance.com/index/performance/intakemanifold/s14intakemanifold/s14intakemanifold3.jpg
and modifying it to fit the s13 runners. I am just thinking that increasing the volume of the plenum would help high rpm power but keeping the longer stock runners will help keep the low end torque rather than using the Greddy style S13 sr20det intake manifold and losing all the low end.

yeah i have a freddy s13 one but i really dont want to use it as im not going got top end that much using a t28 turbo im keeping it around 300hp. I got it for a killer deal so i picked it up but the more i read about the low end power loss the less im a fan of it for my setup. I am probably going to just use the stock intake manifold, just thought i would see if there were any plenum options using the stock runners to keep the low end power.

yeah, for power goals that low, you might as well just keep the stock intake manifold...
I've got a greddy one right now, and i LOVE the top end you get with it, but im going to fab one up eventually that keeps that top end power, but also has a more workable powerband.
its actually not that difficult if you can tig. Just using basic measurements of volume on both the stock manifold surge tank, and the greddy..along with the length/diameter of the runners to see if i can crunch the number to get some actual gains out of it.

The ISIS one that Enjuku is selling right now sounds like a hell of a bargin for the price.

burnsauto: I would love to see it when you are done with it. I havent seen much options with the SR intake manifold because of the Greddy being so popular.
