S13 coupe tail lights

so the gist of my problems is, whenever I brake, my shifter(automatic) clicks, than where the time clock is the light blinks(when lights are on) so when that blinks that ment my tail lights went out, so i go out and smack my tail lights until they came back on, well that doesnt work anymore, does any one know what it is or have any suggestions on how i can fix it?

The shifter clicks because you're applying power to the shift lock. It won't release unless the brake is depressed.
As far as the clock, start checking for blown fuses.

Ive done that........but thats the least of my worries when i mentioned all these problems it happens when my taillight goes out, i think it might be a loose wire, but i dont even know where to start

i bet it's bad ground.
How do you get the tails working again after this happens,.or is this the 1st time??


Just found one on my car...in the taillight of course.But it was causing 1 light to hardly get bright and another in the same housing to go out when the pedal was pressed.Only while the lights were on though.Easy fix.

Need more info: how long its been doing it,what seems to temp fix the issue.
