View Full Version : So, what should I do?

I got these old school Volks on my car and they spin true, are cool to me and are already staggered. The negatives are that they are scratched to shit, the decals are not in good shape, missing 2 center caps and 3 cap retaining nuts. So here's my dilemma... I have 2 choices as to what to do here.

1. Clean them up and sell em for what I can get as they are which isnt going to be much and use them towards something else.

2. Completely refinish them... Repaint the center spokes to match the gold on the bottom of my car and polish the lips.

If I do #2, I will not have any of the "Volk Racing" logos anywhere on the wheel detracting from any value they have now and they will not be "OG" anymore.

Chime in as to what you think.

well if you had to do one of the 2 you listed....I would do 1, get rid of them.

^ i agree, if you track/drift your car, cuz who cares what they look like. Your gonna need another set of wheels, at least this way there Volks that you can mess around with.

I think they could look good if refinished. But, the sizing and offsets need to be looked at. (wheel spacers?)

They are cool old rims man.
If your looking for show quality, sell em and get something new.
If you wanna track em, then use em.
You can always find that style again one day if you want.
So dont be to attached.

Old skool wheels are the shit first of all, yall are lames!
For a 240 they are not that aggresive, id be tempted to sell them to say an mr2 enthusiast or even some honda nerd. They are some cheap ass knock offs so you know they are strong. Id rock em as track wheels atleast.

sell them to the guy that posted above me. LOL he seems to like them. I think they are pretty bleh. I would sell them I would not run them.

Well at least there was a few positives in the responses. I know they aren't "uber mad tyte fat lip works yo" but, they are OG, 3pc, and still are Volks. But ya, they aren't as aggressive as I'd like for the car. It's being parked for the winter anyway I have some time to decide what to do. I'll probably end up selling them and getting something that suits me better. Thanks for the input guys. Feel free to add to this. I'm always open to ideas.
