View Full Version : Alignment - Where? How?

I have Tein HE coilovers with about a 0.5" gap between the tires and fenders.
Firestone said they couldn't do alignment on my car (so much for their "lifetime alignment" which I used only once) because the car is too low and the body gets in the way of the sensors or something. And also because the front and rear wheels have different offsets.
Apparently all the other places that do alignment around here use the same method and can't do it on my car. So wtf... Where do I go to fix the alignment?
If I want to do it myself, what would I need?

Where do you live? if your in so.cal check out Bear Alignment in Glendora. I have HE also, it was no problem for them because they use a pit to work on alignments. cost around $40 bucks

take off your front bumper for alignemtns. yeah the radar sensor thingamajigs cant find eachother. my alignment man rocks. breaks out the tape measure and does it for me. 45 bucks! SICK!
Hey aaron and danny-- we should buy our own alignment equipment! We don't need that fancy shmancy laser stuff, just something that will mount firmly and truly to the wheel... and we can use tape measures and protractors (haha) for the rest! I think it'd be a good investment. we could charge locals $35 for a 4-wheel alignment! that's a $5 savings for them!

i believe the only way for you/anyone with modded car to get an alignment would be by hand. theres a shop around the SJ area. they also do cornerbalancing so that would be a plus since you have coilovers. ill ask my friend for the shop name/number if you want it.
