i have a 30d
with battery grip

canon 50mm f/1.8
canon 70-200mm f/4 L
tamron 18-200mm
canon 1.4x extender

i hate the tamron a lot, it's slow, loud, and soft. i only use it for 18-50 since i have the 50 and a 70-200. i need to get a 24-70 or 24-105 and sell the tamron.

the 50mm is a fantastic lens, especially considering it's only 90 bucks. nice and sharp images.

the 70-200 is pretty good too but i'd like to have some IS. i mostly use it for motorsports, where i'm trying to get motion blur, so i have to keep the shutter around 1/100 to 1/160, which makes the aperture tiny, so i don't really miss not having the f/2.8 version.

i don't do a lot of flash photography, but i do have a quantaray flash. the big kind that have a swivel head and can be used remotely, etc.

my next camera will be a 5d for sure
