i have an s13 chassis with a planned rb25 swap...piecing all together, but im stuck on what i can do with the motor. ive tried searching for what people have made with certain builds...i want to have around 400-450 rwhp and run about 15psi on high boost from time to time. what would i have to look into to reach that number. i plan to have the head mildly worked but other than that what would i need to look at in order to reach my numbers. possibly a wlink to read on builds and outcome power numbers. let me know, thanx

just a big turbo and a clutch to support it, fmic, and bigger injectors along with a stand alone unit.

what can the rb25 withstand stock form? so grab some injectors, turbo, fmic, clutch and stand alone will give me 450 rwhp and no hiccup? well with a good tune

Don't even worry about that stuff for now. Just put the 25 in, get it wired up and running properly for now. You'll run into so much other little bullshit that you have to deal with before worrying about making some specific ambiguous number. Only thing you should do off the bat is an FMIC during install; and of course replace rubber/gaskets/maintenance/fuel pump, etc.

To make the power you want, get a new turbo like a GT35 or T3T4 or similar. Stock ceramic turbine disintegrates over 12-14psi continuous use. Next you'll need new injectors, some 550s to 720s will suit your needs. Get a PFC to tune the setup with. You may need cams, the tomei poncams drop in and should give you the breath you need to reach your number.

There are several threads on Skylines australia about dyno power vs mods done for 20/25/26 motors. Go there and do some research... You're about to start on a lonnngg journey, do your homework now and it will pay off in the long run

does the mckinney mounting brackets require to modify the stock crossmember...or do i use the stock cross member and the mount kit adjusts everything with the way there built?

You just use the S13 KA cross member. Everything adjusts because they use slotted holes and whatnot.

so is that just a sales slogan for upgrading your mounts? trans mount works too? rb will swap in with all the stock 240 mounts and such?

sales slogan?? Not following you. Oh I think you misunderstood... The mckinney kit re-uses the S13 engine crossmember but has it's own engine mounts and trans mount. Just go to their site and research it, it's a decent kit but there are others out that are arguably better. Mount kit threads are a dime a dozen just do a search or two.

PS the RB will not swap with the stock 240 mounts and such. You need to use a R32 xmember and RB mounts or a KA/R33 xmember and a mount kit..... again this info is beaten to death just search around and you'll learn everything you need.

yea i completely misunderstoond lol, ive searched and i have found companies that offer the mount kit to use on my stock ka cross member, thats my bad.

Yeah quite a few re-use the S13 xmember... Except the Syko Performance kit which uses the R33 xmember. GL with your project

You can run the stock turbo, stock manifold, stock injectors to 350hp to close to 400hp depending on the tune. I got a guy in Okinawa running a 550whp RB25 on stock bottom end still with a diesel turbo off a Dodge Truck. He's been trying to blow it for over a year so he can get an excuse for a rebuild. Before I left, he just upgraded to a bigger Holset turbo and should be hitting close to 650whp and he's finally going to do a rebuild as the engine is starting to show its age.

PS: Looked up his build:
