you just gotta go with the flow mang. just take it for what it is now and stop trying to make it what it used to be. they can't keep creating original story lines forever and ever, if they tried I bet it would get pretty repetitive. at least this way it's a different topic every time. I haven't watched new south park episodes in a while either, but ones like the world of warcraft episode and the internet running out are a couple that I have seen from this and past seasons and I thought it was hilarious.

It is still funny. Sure you may not like one episode or what not, but generally it's hilarious.

Like the new Simpsons, which kind of died out. Each cartoon has its time and each show had it's years.

I just saw these damn shows again today, and I was like "WTF???" What was I thinking back then? But I was a young kid and the jokes and story lines made sense, but as I am older now, the story lines are so stupid!!

I still love Ninja Turtles, but again, I turned on the TV last saturday and there was "Ninja Turtles In Space." WTTTTTTFFFF??????

I don't know, just enjoy what ever comes, and watch it until it is no longer funny and move on.

Actually, I thought it was funny.
The pop culture references gave way for hamfisted parodies, but they are STILL using character development. For these 2 episodes, it was Craig, I thought how he repeatedly called them on the bullshit that has been their "formula" for years now, as it unfolded was hilarious.

Although the last two-part episode wasn't that great, I think South Park has been actually getting better compared to a few seasons ago.
In my opinion the show was at its worst during its long streak of completely "unrealistic" episodes, about going into space, magic, working for the government, Mr. Garrison is a woman, and etc.
The new episodes have been more down-to-earth, which I like.

On the other hand, the new Family Guy seasons are complete garbage. Peter's voice is really annoying now, he acts like a child, Stewie talks too much and acts gay, the entire family openly hates Meg, Quagmire has been overly exploited, and so on. I miss the old episodes, when Peter actually wanted to be a good family guy, but was a screw-up. I hope they eventually go back to their old ways as well.

The 2-parter, as well, was one of those times where they took the chance to do something silly as HELL (c'mon, Guinea Monsters?) and use the rare dialog from Craig to pick on themselves.
You guys know why no one in school likes you guys? It's because you guys come up with these stupid plans, and they always backfire... Then you wind up in another country or outer space or something... That is why no one in the school hangs out with you guys.
THAT line, as they were sitting at the interrogation table, FLOORED me, I couldn't stop laughing at it EVERY time Craig went back to it for the rest of the episodes.

I do miss the more "slapstick" humor of the older episodes, but do you guys really think if they stuck to the "somebodies baking brownies" jokes the show would have lasted a decade plus?

i think trey parker and matt stone are some of the most creative comedic minds ever and have much respect for both of them.

It is still very much so funny, but at the same time more sophisticated i guess, like phlip was talking about how craig pokes fun at them cause of the boys equation: rediculous idea + backfire= hilarity ensues.
