i am having issues with brake pedal pressure. i know i need a larger master cylinder. my question to all of you guys is (from you own personal experience) what size would offer the best pedal feel with my setup

which is z33 base model calipers and rotors front and z32 2 pot calipers and rotors rear
(2 wilwood 3psi valves for the rears and a wilwood biasing valve not yet installed)

additional question: will a wilwood master cylinder work with the stock s13 brake booster(manual trans)

any help is awesome.

are you completly sure that you need a new master cylinder? maybe you just need to bleed your brakes

thanks for the vote of confidence...

yes i've bleed them several times the result is the same each time.

my roommate works for willwood so i had him get me a 1" master cylinder for $30 probably overkill but whatever. *(edit the guy quoted him the wrong price it would have been $220 for the one i need so nevermind)*

no its nothing against you its just that sometimes people forget to do something simple because they jump to conclusions

gotcha. i hoped it was gonna be something cheap as free but turns out bigger brakes and s13 small master dont play well together, so a little money and a few hours and i get to go do 60 to 0 tests.

For pedal feel you want the smallest bore you can get while still having full piston travel. If you are bottoming out the MC then I would upgrade.

um yeh thats what i'm doing i was just wondering what the options for the upgrade are. it looks like z32 is the way to go because willwood is effing expensive even with my roomates employee discount

It's more of a personal preference. If you like to have low input and brake easily keep it the way it is (which you don't seem to like). I think stock is 7/8". Otherwise move up to the z32 1 1/16" master for better overall feel but requires more pedal pressure. Choose your pads wisely to dial it in.
