So what is the problem exactly? If there's no oil pumping to the engine, then you need a lot more than a sensor.

FYI, the oil pressure sensor is worthless on SRs. If it comes on while you're driving, that basically means it too late because the engine is eating itself at that very moment.

i just finished the SR swap and car is still on rack. oil pump don't work, or oil sensor don't work. i'm opening the 240sx oil pump and check it out now. if they are the same i can swap it over. anyway thanks for ur infor

if oil pump does not work you need a new oil pump, its a mechanical Gear driven pump off the crank, nothing electronic about it.

yeah dont waste ur money on the Sensor just buy an oil pressure gauge.

if you wanna check if your pump is working, crack open the turbo oil feed line unplug the CAS and turn it over a few times, if oil comes out its a good sign (still should check pressure levels) If no oil then you need to pull that engine right back out.

The oil pressure switch is just that, a switch. It comes on at 8psi of pressure. If there's no oil delivery the switch has nothing to do with it, and what's worse is you're relying on it. Keep reading threads in here and you'll change your mind.
