Hi, i was just wondering wth is the difference between all these gas companies? Dont they get thier gas from the same place? I mean i was at a no name gas station the other day and their premium had 92 octain, same as 76 high performance gas. So whats the difference beside Cheveron having techron???

thanks

From what I hear...ABSOLUTLY NOTHING!

Edit: but ummm.....no 240 mentioned. OT perhaps? Yes, I think so.

Eh. Gas goes in the 240, so I'm gonna let this one fly. Mabey another mod will move it, mabey not.
Also... the better the gas station, the more strict the guidelines for gasoline. This results in a greater ammount of quality control, and overall better gas.
I don't go to Speedway (except for 102 octane :D ), or Citgo, or a couple of other places.
My list, in order:
Mobil
Shell
Chevron
76
And I'll coast untill I find one of those 4

I live in SoCal and they put MTBE in all the gas. From what I hear it hampers a little performance and is no too great for the engine itself. 76 is the only gas station that does not have MTBE in their gas, so I only gas up there. I geuss I'm a little picky but whatever. I have seen what cheapo gas can do to the internals of an engine, not so good. Like my sig says, I like my 240 a **** load and so I feed it the best fuel I know of. Why must I always ramble like this??? SKR come in here and shut me up...:o
