so this weekend i bought new tires for my 1989 240sx, changed all 4 rotors and pads and got a fresh alingment and today was the first time i drove it on the freeway since.....when i get up to like 50mph and up the hole car seems to shake....mostly the rear....feels like if its gonna spin out...so im not really sure what the problem is........and also when i got to the house it smelled like if the brakes where fried....idk some kinda smell.....any suggestions let me know....thanks

you mentioned you got new tires.. wheels need to be balanced..

recheck the tire balance/air pressure, mounting direction etc...inspect your brakes rotors for damage or warpage, tighten all the lug nights while the car is in the air to spec in a star or cross pattern and double check.

Was the shaking DURING braking or NOT during braking?

It is common for new brakes to smell like shit.

well either you have unblanced wheels/used"new" tires..lugs not tightened down? lol

Take it back and say WTF you guys need to fix now I want my moneys worth and if you did not pay for wheel balance then tell them they have shitty sales people for not mentioning that to you.

Driveaxle bushing/play or diff can be mistaken for balance like syntoms
