Hi,
I got the opportunity to buy either for the same price... my exhaust setup now is too quiet. I have HotShot headers/RandomTech Cat/HKS Sport Catback. It is basically silent, my Injen CAE is way louder. I dont want a rice pipe and thus am a little scared to go with the N1 Dual... But if it comes down to that I need something louder than what I have now. I heard all the HKS exhaust really don't give much power. Should I keep holding out?

The words rice and Apexi I have never seen together before. As for the N1 Dual exhaust on an NA car it is great. Nice luod roar above 3.4k RPMs but completely livable below that. Looks great and sounds better. You won't lose any low end and you'll gain small top end. I love ,mine.......of course mine is no longer NA but it was for a year and a half

yea.. i dont know how you figure the n1dual ='s rice but oh well. the n1duals are great but so is the hiper. they both sound really good in their own way. the hiper is louder and more rugged sounding and the n1 dual has a more deep sound to it. performance wise, i have no idea which is better. maybe you can check project silvia somewhere where they've made comparisons on exhausts. im sure the difference is minimal if its n/a. i have the n1duals and i give it two thumbs up. :)

i have N1 Duals with a hotshot header and it was way too loud for my tastes... I ended up having to get silencers for it. Before the header the exhaust was fine, not too loud or anything but the day i got my header on i hated it for probably the next month then i got used to it. With the silencers i like the setup a lot, its slightly quieter than when i had just an exhaust and i still have nice power gains and a nice exhaust tone.
Not trying to scare you but thats just my opinion, on the positive side the power gains from exhaust/header w/o silencers was VERY good. It was a raspy tone and it didn't really sound bad but i didn't want to get unwanted attention. :)

Thanks, that was what I was looking for. I think I'm going to go with the N1 Dual, and if I have problems I'll pick up a pair of the silencers since they seem to be so abundant in the for sale forum.

Well, I am curious. How would the HKS Dragger compare to the N1 Dual? The HKS Dragger exhaust comes with an 85 mm piping into something like a 115mm can. I would think that this would be a larger power gain than the HKS Sport exhaust system would give. Also it does not seem to be a very popular exhaust system (at least not with the people that post on the internet apparently). Does anybody out there have this exhaust and want to comment on it?
How about other HKS systems, how are their quality? Do they rust? Do they have good welds? I would assume so, but want to hear someone with some experience with them.
