if a buddy of mine has a N1 stlye muffler that was on a honda, can i cut it off and use it for my 240? or is there something different?

While I guess it wont sound terrible. The thought if just changing the muffler without any piping makes me sick.

but yeah like said above you can take it to a muffler shop so they change the hangers from place...

With all the cutting and jank ass pipe work you're going to do you can buy a cheap full catback that bolts right on, fits right, and looks a million times better.

Agreed. It is pointless unless you work at a muffler shop or something so you can get the piping done for free or nearly free.

i knew a guy who got a stock evo intercooler for free, then spent $600 getting custom piping and brackets made so he could put it on his s14
he coulda had a greddy for that price that fit perfect
or even an ebay intercooler. some of those are not bad at all, and are under $200
point is, take a step back and don't be excited to get free shit that might end up costing more money and time than buying something meant for your car.
